| Services of this website is to help researchers & scientists "discover" scientific truths (1) the innate nature of real-CBD (Component-Based Design) of physical products (e.g. essential aspects uniquely & universally shared by the CBD of each and every large physical product known to mankind) and (2) the innate nature of physical components (e.g. essential characteristics uniquely & universally shared by each and every large physical functional-component known to mankind). |
| Let me state an irrefutable truth: There exists a factual and unobvious objective description for any kind physical being (e.g. plants, mammals, compounds, elements, virus, bacteria, metals or other physical beings). For example, the factual and objective description of a given specie (e.g. animals, chemical elements, bacteria or virus, where the specie comprising a diverse specimens) is useful for positively identify each of the specimen belong to the give specie (a kind of physical beings). The major research effort in each of the basic sciences (e.g. botany, zoology, chemistry or physics) is acquiring factual and objective knowledge of description for each kind of physical beings. For example, how physical beings such as light or electrons behave under a given conditions is part of description of light or electrons respectively. Therefore the factual and objective description of all kinds of physical beings constitutes lions share of mankind's scientific knowledge. |
| The physical functional components are not exception to this rule (i.e. irrefutable truth), since no one can argue that the physical components are not a kind of physical beings. The diversity of each specie (e.g. animals, plants or molecules) never prevented mankind from discovering a set of essential properties uniquely and universally shared by each and every specimen belong the specie, for example, to positively identity any specimen belong to the specie (by employing objective reasoning). Hence there exists a factual and objective description for the physical functional components to positively identify each of the physical functional components and to positively differentiate any other physical part from the physical functional components. |
| There can't be more than one accurate definition (i.e. description closest to the absolute scientific truth) for physical beings belong to each kind (or specie), and functional components can't be an exception to this rule. Unfortunately each of the existing definitions for software components made out of thin air without any basis in reality/fact. Our beloved computer science can’t be a real science, if the definitions for software components are not based on reality/fact. Likewise, software engineering can’t be a real engineering, since existing software engineering paradigm has been evolving for decades by relying on such flawed scientific foundation. This is not much different from geocentric paradigm existed 500 years ago, which evolved for hundreds of years by relying on flawed scientific foundation (i.e. erroneous assumption that the Earth is at center). |
| Objective of this website is to help researchers discover a set of essential properties that are uniquely and universally shared by the physical functional components (i) to positively identify any physical functional component and (ii) to positively differentiate any other physical part from the physical functional components (by using objective reasoning). Hence, if an expert discovers the set of essential properties of the physical functional components and any physical functional component (or equivalent software component having the essential properties) is shown to him, he must be able to positively identify that it is a component by giving valid objective reasoning. On the other hand, if any other physical part (or a software part not having the essential properties) is shown, he must be able to positively identify that it is not a component by giving valid objective reasoning. |
| Please note that I didn’t use the term “invent”, but used the term “discover” properties of the components. For example, mankind can’t invent nature/behavior of physical beings (e.g. electrons, mammals, light or components) but can only discover nature (e.g. by discovering essential properties or behavior uniquely and universally shared by each and every specimen of given kind of specie). Can we blindly define behavior of light or electrons without any basis in reality and force the nature to change its laws to satisfy the definition made out of thin air? The software researchers made a huge error in 1960s by blindly defining nature of components. Without ever testing the validity of the bad assumptions made in 1960s, software researchers invented many kinds of so called software components and CBSEs, each of which has no basis in fact and often in contradiction to the reality. |
| The error derailed any meaningful progress in software engineering for past couple of decades and technological progress in software engineering can’t be put on right tracks without exposing the error. Discovery of these 2 irrefutable truths/facts not only (a) expose the errors in the basic Seed Postulations (i.e. very basic or root postulations) of software engineering but also (b) essential for inventing real-software-components (equivalent to the physical components) for achieving real-CBD for software (equivalent to CBD of physical products) for securing equivalent or better benefits. |
| The Services we are pleased to offer (and goals of this website) are to freely help software researchers, scientists and experts discover the irrefutable facts about real components and CBD of physical products by helping them discover accurate answers to the 2 extremely important questions (that are shown in the preamble-image at the top of this web page) in the context of large functional physical components (referred to as Active-components) and ideal CBD of physical products. |
| Our discoveries are very basic and goals are very simple, which can be explained by using an analogy: Before the 15th century the mankind erroneously assumed that the Earth was static at the center (i.e. Geocentric model). It was very reasonable assumption based on the best available knowledge, technologies and tools. Even today it is hard to believe and scary to imagine that the Earth is traveling more than 18 times the speed of speeding bullet around the Sun, but it is a fact any real scientist must accept today. In the 16th and 17th centuries mankind invented and improved Telescope for observing planetary orbits and beginning to realize the error in the geocentric model. |
| Please kindly keep in mind that, discovering and exposing errors in Seed (i.e. very basic or root) postulations of even a very well established and widely accepted paradigm resulted in collapse of the paradigm (even if the paradigm had been deeply entrenched for 1000 years). |
| Today it is impossible for any one to refute/deny the fact that the term ‘software components’ is used as a synonym to ‘certain kinds of useful parts’, except giving baseless excuses to defend/deny the error. Isn’t it an obvious error, especially in light of irrefutable proofs in this website to prove 2 basic Truths or Facts: (1) It is possible to discover accurate description, which comprising a unique set of properties that are uniquely and universally shared by each and every physical component, & (2) It is possible to invent real software components that are equivalent to the physical active-components (i.e. for achieving the real-CBSD by having the unique set of properties). |
| Any competent engineer of any basic engineering or scientist of any basic sciences must not have any problem validating the facts, reasoning and proof in this website. It is not necessary to know any thing else about software or computer science, except a confirmation about the erroneous descriptions or definitions exist today for many kinds of software components and CBSD. Like no one doubted the validity of geocentric model for centuries, it is impossible to find evidence that any one else ever questioned validity of the baseless definitions for software components. This paradigm have been evolving for decades by relying on such erroneous seed postulations, so resulted in creating numerous seminal works and widely accepted concepts that are deeply entrenched into the collective wisdom/conscious of scientists & researchers. |
| We strongly disagree with certain basic axioms or seed postulations of the existing software engineering paradigm. Please kindly remember that, the error in the seed postulating (i.e. Geocentric model) derailed the scientific advancement for centuries. By discovering the error resulted in putting the scientific advancement on the right tracks. It is a noble but complex endeavor to expose errors in the seed postulations in any deeply entrenched scientific or engineering paradigm. |
| Many pages in this website provides irrefutable proof that there are huge errors in the seed postulations (e.g. CBD for software and software components) for today’s software engineering and especially CBD for software. These errors are further covered up, ignored or refused to investigate to learn facts, by relying on baseless misconceptions and justification such as software is unique and/or different, or by using baseless excuses that it is impossible to invent software components equivalent to the physical components, without ever even trying to objectively analyze known facts or valid observations for discovering innate nature & accurate description of the physical components. |
| We wish to contribute to the progress of computer science and mankind by exposing the errors in seed postulations such as software components and CBD for software. These errors are certainly the main cause for the so called 'software crisis' by preventing any meaningful progress in software engineering in general and CBD for complex software in particular. The computer science can be put on the right track to resume rapid progress by exposing errors in the seed postulations. |
| Basic irrefutable facts essential for any serious scientific research: The real scientific progress depends on researchers pursuing Truth with passion. Any real science ends up in a contradiction or paradox if and only if there is an error in the reasoning or basic facts. It is an error to rely on any concept without sound basis in reality and fact, since any error certainly leads to a paradox (could waste billions). |
| This website has no intention of promoting our patents or GUI-library capable of achieving complex hierarchies of replaceable components (i.e. real CBD for software). But they are referenced in this website to provide empirical evidence to demonstrate that it is possible to invent real software components that are capable of achieving real CBD for complex software applications. |
